East Wake student reports attempted assault

e-mail print friendly

A female student at East Wake High School called 911 Tuesday afternoon after she said someone tried to rape or sexually assault her at the school, Wake County Public Schools spokesman Michael Evans said.

The call was received at approximately 4:50 p.m., Evans said.

Wake County deputies interviewed the student in the gym lobby of the school, located at 5101 Rolesville Road. Paramedics also examined the girl. She was not transported to the hospital and went home with her parents.

No arrests were made, and Sheriff Donnie Harrison says there was conflicting information. Deputies plan to look at school surveillance video and try to contact potential witnesses.

This is an unfortunate situation for all involved. There are CONFLICTING reports....which should make you wonder.

As far as demarqui72, I think the point that he/she is trying to make is that some girls WILL resort to "shouting" RAPE when they dont get their way,for whatever reason, just to get that person in trouble.....kind of like an I'LL SHOW HIM scenario.

Not saying this is the case at all, but I'm sorry to say, IT DOES HAPPEN!

And yes, I do have a daughter, and yes, I hope she is NEVER in this situation, but I also HOPE she never would be the type to put someone in this situation JUST CAUSE. Here's hoping the problem is resolved accordingly.

demarqui72 - A couple questions 1) Do you have a daughter? 2)If you do, how would you react if your daughter, filled out or not, guitly of flirting or not, was sexually assaulted? Men get get labled sex offenders because they can't keep their hands to themselves and their zipper closed! No excuses!

demarqui72 - most sex offenders are labeled as sex offenders cause that's what they are...it doesn't matter if girls are "more filled out".

Demarqui, If this was a student and the suspect is a grown man, it doesnt matter how filled out she is. If she is under 18, she is a CHILD. It is against the law to have sexual contact or intercourse with a CHILD. So I guess you are saying it is her fault? Flirting means you can take what you want?

demarquil72 As much as I hate to agree with you on this , you said what I was thinking....
