Wilson, N.C. — Wilson police were searching for the vehicle that hit and killed a man along Ward Boulevard early Sunday.
Around 3:20 a.m., police said, a 911 caller reported that a man was lying alongside the northbound lanes in the 5500 bock of Ward Boulevard, between Washington and Carolina streets.
Officers determined that the 30-year-old Hispanic man had been struck and killed by a vehicle. Police identified him as Juan Carlos Blanco of Pine Street in Wilson.
Anyone who has seen recent and unexplained damage of a vehicle or has information about the hit-and-run was asked to call Wilson police at 252-399-2323.
