Durham police identified a man struck and killed by a vehicle along Alston Avenue Friday night as Lacy Arnold Parker, 49.

Parker was hit in the 800 block of South Alston Avenue at 9:40 p.m., and EMS workers transported him to Duke University Hospital, but he died of his injuries.

A 45-year-old woman, whose name hasn't been released, was also struck and injured by a vehicle at Pettigrew and Mangum streets shortly after 11 p.m. She was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Duke University Hospital.

Police have not filed any charges in either collision but were continuing to investigate.

Anyone with information about either collision was encouraged to call Durham Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200 or Investigator T.L. Gilliam at 919-560-4314, ext. 246. Callers to Crime Stoppers never have to identify themselves.
