A Raleigh group protested President Obama’s stimulus plan and mortgage bailout during a rally at the state Capitol on Saturday.

The non-partisan group called the event the “New American Tea Party.”

“We do not believe Washington should reward failure,” organizer Daniel Martinez said in a release.

Several hundred people attended the event. Another rally is planned on April 15, Martinez said.

I'm just waiting for my $33.33 per month so I can go on a spending spree.

There is no way anyone can spend themselves out of debt. Obama is promoting socialism. He wants the government to own everything and all citizens to work for the government.

"you don't dig your way out of a hole, by digging it deeper...pretty simple concept even a 5th grader should understand"

tmdelin: A 5th grader should also understand that the world's economy is in no way related to a hole. It's not that simple.

I'm all for letting the economy crash and burn (i.e. "self-correct"). As long as it doesn't mean I'll have to give up MY job.

Funny, the originally tea party was about no representation.....what's this about, people who don't like coffee?
