Chapel Hill, N.C. — Chapel Hill police are searching for Nathan Devon Brown, 37, who is wanted for first-degree burglary and larceny of a vehicle that happened Wednesday night.

Brown forcefully broke into a residence and took the victim's keys and red 2002 Kia Sportage, police said. The Kia has North Carolina license plate XPY-6770.

Police have warrants charging Brown with first-degree burglary, larceny of a motor vehicle, injury to real property, interfering with emergency communications and assault on a female.

Brown is a black man, 6 feet too and 245 pounds and is known to  frequent the Burlington, Durham, Orange and Chatham County areas.

Calls to Crime Stoppers are confidential and anonymous, and the caller may be eligible for a cash reward up to $2,000 for information that leads to arrest.
