Now that this lady has been found safe, can I ask the obvious question?

Have silver and amber alerts become so commonplace that most people don't pay attention to them?

When I first signed up for the amber alert service, I would receive one or two amber alerts a month. Now I receive on average one (I've had two) silver alerts a day, and sometimes a couple of amber alerts a week.

Should there be some criteria for issuing an alert such as suspected foul play, mysterious circumstances, etc? The only reason I'm asking is that I believe the shear number of alerts are reducing the overall effectiveness of the system.

Why is there no photo of this missing person? Jeepers. What is CHPD doing?
