Raleigh, N.C. — For the second time in 10 months, the City Council has voted to support the single-member system of districts for the Wake County school board.
Several mayors in other Wake County municipalities have called for changing the school board representation to nine at-large districts, with all board members being elected countywide.
Raleigh City Councilwoman Mary-Ann Baldwin said that system would make elections too expensive and could threaten the diversity on the board.
The council also passed a resolution supporting the school district's efforts for diversity in schools, including its busing policy.

Let's all get together this year and vote people onto the Wake County School Board that believe in saving money and not bussing students. I for one would run but I am an unknown. We need people to stand up for the rights of our kids and not make them a statistic.
