Patti Head had zero, none, nada, no chance of winning any future election. She has failed so far beyond failing her constituents, well, she as failed beyond anything that I can think of.

"Let's make it a requirement that any candidate has to have a child enrolled in a Wake County Public School. This way any decisions made by the board will also be felt by them directly. While we are at it, let's also split the district in half (East West or North South). The current district size is too large to manage effectively."

That would mean I should run! I have two kids in first grade now and one that will be starting school next year. Maybe with my thoughts on bussing and year round, I stand a 50-50 chance of being elected.

Also, any person with a degree in education should be disqualified.

We need individuals on the school board who want to each child in the system is pushed to achieve his/her fullest potential. Instead of busing children around to meet racial goals, we need to see the schools that have the highest percentage of children who are not performing at grade level get the resources needed to help these children rather than moving them around to schools to say that the schools are performing well and the children fall through the cracks and do not get the help they need.
