Raleigh, N.C. — The state has awarded a $12.4 million contract for replacement of two bridges that carry Grimesland Bridge Road over the Tar River in Pitt County.
Rea Contracting of Charlotte is to finish the project by May 15, 2012, the Department of Transportation said Wednesday. Work may start as early as March 30, DOT said.
