Raleigh police arrested four students at the Leesville Road Senior High School Tuesday morning, police spokesman Jim Sughrue said.

Terrell Deonte Outlaw, 17, of 2941-206 Millbrook Woods Drive, Ke’arn Anquay Bell, 17, of 4309-C Bayliner Drive, Taron Devionte Mills, 18, of 6903 Lynn Townes Court, and William Jacoby Singletary, 18, of 6840 Madison Ridge Way, were each charged with misdemeanor assault.

Mills, who was on probation for disorderly conduct and communicating threats, faces an additional charge for violating his probation.

The four were involved in a fight on campus. The four were taken to Wake County jail and held on $1,000 bail each. Mills has an additional $50,000 bond for the probation violation.

they aren't that bad, i go to school with the guy in the first picture, when hes in class he doesn't seem to screw around he keeps quiet and doesn't disrupt the class, but i guess they did what they did

I'm not familiar enough w/ those addresses to confirm that they live far from school, tobis, but in all likelihood it has something to do with seeking some kind of balance within schools. My understanding of Wake's approach is that they do their balancing first and foremost by socio-economic status so that the % of students receiving free or reduced lunch are approximately even. From what I hear, this emphasis trickles down to pretty balanced ethnic diversity from school to school, too. Where students live far away from their assigned school, this surely involves busing.

There is a case to be made for neighborhood schools, but there is also a case to be made for diversity, equity, etc.

why do they all live so far from this school?

carolinagirl your classroom management skills must be awesome...

Might MLK also be turning over in his grave about your noticing the color of their skin and commenting on it, LamWal? Why not just stick to the content of their character? Would it have been any less offensive and disappointing if they'd been White?
