Raeford, N.C. — Hoke County deputies arrested two men Tuesday in a Valentine's Day shooting death.
Darrell Thomas, 31, of 1125 Whisker Lake Road in Fayetteville, and Xavier Whitted, 19, of 2931 Orbie Circle in Fayetteville, have been charged with first-degree murder. They were being held without bond Tuesday in the Hoke County Jail.
The charges stem from the Feb. 14 shooting of Keith Thomas at a house party on 1311 Clan Campbell Drive. A fight broke out in the yard, several weapons were fired during the altercation and two men were wounded. authorities said.
Thomas, 27, of Angier, was shot twice and died.
A second man, whose name wasn't released, was critically injured in the shooting.
