Deputies arrest Fayetteville students on drug charges

Fayetteville, N.C. — Cumberland County sheriff’s school resource officers at Seventy-First High School, 6764 Raeford Road in Fayetteville, arrested two students Monday for allegedly bringing drugs and weapons on campus.

Elyssa Sax, 17, of 6938 Melbourne Drive, was charged with possession of ecstasy and possession of a weapon on school campus. Kristin Suggs, 18, of 1913 Columbia Drive, was charged with possession of ecstasy, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of a weapon on school campus.

Deputies say the suspects were arrested at around 11:30 a.m Monday  following an anonymous tip. The drugs were discovered during a yearbook and art class at the school.

Sax and Suggs were processed at the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $5,000 secured bond. They will make their first court appearance on Tuesday afternoon.

fyi drug test proved Kristin does not do drugs! I told you things are not always what they seem!!!!!! They are my family and I know the truth. Hopefully the truth does come out for all to see but I am not the one that needs to do it. So no one need pass judgment. Follow up on your story because these articles could ruin the rest of these girls lives because this will always be on the internet! They have a future ahead of them!!!!!!!!!

Is that the answer "lockem both up"? You know nothing about these girls. I know Kristin she is an A/B student, never been in trouble before and is(was?I hope she still can) graduating this year and has plans on attending college in the fall. You have no idea what exactly happened and what kind of girls they are. I think its really terrible they have posted their pics on the internet! They maybe high school students 17(still a minor) and 18 but it wrong to have their pics posted and they should definitely not have their home addresses posted for anyone to see. This is one of the only two news outlet so far that I have seen that has their address posted. The other is The Fay. Observer. Is this necessary? It's WRONG! I noticed they don't tell you what kind of weapons they allegedly had as far as anyone knows it could have been nail clippers. Yes they are now considered weapons in school. We love you Kristin. We are praying everything works out for you. We are here for you and your mom. TP
