Fayetteville, N.C. — Cumberland County sheriff's deputies are looking for the people who shot a teen Friday evening at a school fashion show.
A ninth-grade boy was walking out of Westover High School, 2465 Gillespie St., when a stray bullet struck him in the foot, deputies said. Paramedics took the 15-year-old boy, whose name authorities withheld, to Cape Fear Valley Hospital for treatment.
No one else was injured.
Deputies said they plan to look for bullet casings around the school Saturday morning, because they think more than one shot was fired.
Anyone with information regarding the shooting was asked to contact the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office at 910-323-1500.
