Raleigh, N.C. — The city is seeking bidders to design and install a WiFi network downtown.
Officials would like to offer free wireless Internet connectivity in the area bordered by South, West, Morgan and Person streets. The city already offers WiFi inside the new downtown convention center.
The WiFi network would support downtown redevelopment efforts, officials said. They plan to have it implemented by the fall.
