Glenwood Avenue reopened after wreck

Part of Glenwood Avenue was reopened about five hours after a wreck late Thursday afternoon.

Raleigh police said that a vehicle hit a utility pole at St. Mary's Street around 4:30 p.m. Some power lines fell down.

At one point, the whole road was closed to make room for utility repairs.

Glenwood Avenue was reopened around 9:30 p.m.

This is not the motocycle accident story. This is a separate incident.

I knew the young man on the motorcycle. He was a great guy. RIP and bless his family. I am glad WRAL removed the picture posted earlier.... have some respect. This was someones son not just another news story for u to blog about.

MY neighbor saw the wreck happen on durant the motorcycle tried to make a turn in front of the suv and the suv couldn't stop

I see Wral took the photo off now. I hate to hear this.
