A Fort Bragg soldier was arrested on Thursday for felony child abuse, Fayetteville Police said.

Luis Ruben RodriguezValle, 38, of the 800 block of Cherry Laurel Drive, was released on $10,000 bond, according to Theresa Chance, a police spokeswoman.

According to the warrant for his arrest, RodriguezValle shook his infant son hard enough on Feb. 7 to cause bleeding and bruising in his brain and behind his eyes. The child is 27 days old.

There are no words that come to me right now. I pray this is NOT true and there is some other explanation but my gut tells me different. Praying for all involved.

What a beast!!!

In this enlightened era, do folks not realize that babies and young children cry - sometimes for hours at a time???

Praying the child does well, and praying they throw the book at this beast.

God bless.
