Two sought in Fayetteville theft ring

Authorities were searching Tuesday for two men suspected of being part of a theft ring in Fayetteville.

Demetrius Lashand Williams, 22, of 1171 Sleepy Hollow Drive, and Dermetris Antawn Lilly, 32, of 2801 Coronada Parkway, were wanted in the Feb. 27 break-in of a home in the Woodlea subdivision, authorities said.

Burglars broke into a home on the 4600 block of Elcone Drive through a rear bedroom window, authorities said. They made off with
a 60-inch television, a laptop computer and 50 DVDs.

Four other people have been charged in the case:

  • Tandra Tenille Smith, 27, of 2780 Coronada Parkway, possession of stolen goods
  • David Earl Andrews Jr., 26, of 2597 Pinecrest Drive, possession of stolen property
  • Jerrell Demarcus McKoy, 19, of 2788 Eldorado Circle, breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering and possession of stolen goods
  • Derrick Anthony Williams, 29, of 2780 Coronada Parkway, breaking and entering, larceny and possession of stolen goods.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Williams and Lilly is asked to call the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office at 910-323-1500.
