Fort Bragg, N.C. — An 82nd Airborne Division paratrooper who was found unresponsive in his barracks Saturday night has died, authorities said Tuesday.
Pvt. Nicholas J. Dodson, 20, of Martinez, Calif., was a food service specialist with 1st Squadron, 17th Cavalry, 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade. The cause of his death hasn't been determined, and military authorities are investigating the case.
Dodson joined the Army in August 2007, and he was assigned to Fort Bragg in January 2008.
He is survived by his parents, Patrick and Linda Dodson, of Martinez, Calif.
