Durham, N.C. — Durham police arrested Darryl Wayne Stephens Monday on charges he fired a gun at his girlfriend Sunday morning at his home on Colfax Street.
The woman told police Stephens fired several shots at her as she was leaving the home. Police said two bullets hit a car that was occupied by a male relative of the woman, but no one was injured.
Stephens, 26, of 906 Colfax St., is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle and communicating threats. He also faces a charge of assault inflicting serious injury in another incident.
