Wake Forest, N.C. — Three Stony Hill firefighters are recovering after their fire truck overturned while en route to a fire call in Wake Forest Saturday afternoon.
Fire Engine 264 was traveling east on Purnell Road near Camp Kanata Road when the truck overturned onto its right side, blocking the entire road for several hours, Capt. Mason Dorsett said.
Three firefighters were on board and were able to exit the truck. They were transported to WakeMed with non life-threatening injuries. Their names have not been released.
The Highway Patrol is investigating the wreck.
