Chapel Hill, N.C. — University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill police have made an arrest in connection with three reports of peeping in showers in one of its coed dorms.
Gregory Roach, 20, of Raleigh, was charged Friday with misdemeanor counts of secret peeping in connection with the incidents, which occurred at Teague Residence Hall on Sept. 25, Jan. 19, and Feb. 27.
In a news release issued Friday afternoon, the university said Roach, a sophomore, was living in the dorm at the time of the alleged offenses.
It was not immediately clear if any disciplinary action has been taken against him or if he was still in police custody Friday afternoon.
In one case, a female student was in a second-floor shower when she heard a door open and saw a shadow pass across the shower curtain, UNC's student newspaper, The Daily Tar Heel, reported.
In the latest case, a female resident notified campus police after she saw a man enter a bathroom on her hall.
