Wayne County sheriff's deputies charged a Greenville man with attempted murder for a December home invasion.

Deputies arrested Terrance Lee Melton, 18, of 440 Northwest Acres Drive, on Tuesday. He is charged with attempted murder, first-degree burglary and robbery with a dangerous weapon. He was held on $20,000 secured bond.

Deputies said Melton and another person committed a home invasion on Dec. 16 in Faro. The victim, who was not identified, was shot several times, but has recovered.

I know his mom is proud of him.

what constitutes a home invasion? is this a vague term for breaking and entering, or is it more breaking/entering/harming the residents?

in any case, glad they caught this fine upstanding citizen. when will people start learning to provide for themselves instead of taking from others? >=o(
