Raleigh, N.C. — A man charged with driving while impaired is also accused of trying to bribe the Raleigh police officer who arrested him.
The officer stopped Brian Patenaude when his vehicle swerved on Rock Quarry Road in Raleigh, according to court documents.
Patenaude admitted twice to being impaired and also offered the officer a $2,000 bribe, court documents stated.

ou don't bribe the policeman.
Instead you pay your lawyer to bribe the DA and the Judge to reduce your sentence.

The officer shouldn't be commended for having morals, it's part of what being a police officer is all about. The thought of accepting a bribe would never cross my mind. Not because I might get caught, but because it's simply not right.
