Henderson, N.C. — A Vance County wreck killed a man and injured two other people over the weekend.
A car driven by Anthony Earl Reynolds, of Henderson, hit a truck head-on Saturday afternoon on Lynnbank Road, south of Henderson, the state Highway Patrol said.
The truck flipped, killing driver James Edward Blalock. Paramedics took passenger Mary Sue Blalock to Mariah Parham Medical Center. She was later transferred to Duke University Hospital, where she was listed in fair condition Monday morning.
Charges were pending Sunday against Reynolds, troopers said. He was treated at WakeMed and released.
