Cumberland, N.C. — A single-vehicle wreck severely injured a woman and shut down part of one of Fayetteville's busiest roads for about three hours Saturday night, police said.
Police said that Latiffany Navarrete, 27, was speeding when she lost control of her vehicle on the All American Expressway, between Cliffdale and Raeford roads, around 7:15 p.m. Her vehicle hit the median and rolled over several times, ejecting Navarrete.
Navarrete was in the intensive-care unit at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center early Sunday. Her injuries were thought to be severe.
Eastbound lanes of the All American Expressway were closed until about 10:30 p.m.
