Apex, N.C. — Editor's Note: Powell pleaded guilty to discharging firearm in occupied dwelling and paid a fine.
Apex police arrested a man accused of firing a gun into his neighbor's apartment in the Lake Cameron Apartments complex Friday night.
The arrest warrant says that Jason Ryan Powell, 27, of 318 Cameron Woods Drive, fired into an apartment at 317 Cameron Woods Drive when it was occupied by three members of one family, according to the warrant.
A 911 call about shots fired in the complex, off West Williams Street, came in at 9:11 p.m., police said. No one was injured.
Jason Powell faces charges of attempted murder and discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling. He was being held in the Wake County Jail under a $1 million bond Saturday afternoon.
Investigators said they were still looking into Powell's relationship with the victim and the circumstances of the shooting.
