Raleigh, N.C. — Transportation officials said a multi-vehicle wreck on Interstate 40 West through downtown Raleigh has been cleared.
Reports indicated six vehicles, including at tractor-trailer, were involved in a wreck at mile marker 299, near Hammond Road, around 3 p.m.
All lanes of I-40 were briefly closed, and motorists temporarily detoured off the highway. The scene was cleared by around 4 p.m.
More details about the wreck were not immediately available.
