Man steals car in Durham, dies in crash

Jarrod Alexander Carrington, 21, of Miriam Circle in Durha, died around 2 a.m. Tuesday after he stole a 1997 Lexus and crashed on U.S. Highway 15-501 at Hillsborough Road, according to Durham police.

Police say Carrington was speeding when he lost control on a curve, hit a guardrail, crossed the median and hit the concrete base of the highway sign.

Someone had reported the car stolen moments earlier from Roxboro Road and Club Boulevard, police said.

crime doesn't pay

Sounds like he is an excellent candidate for the "Darwin Award"

on the morning news they called him a victim...what?....the only thing he's a victim of, is his own stupidity......love it that he is taking a dirt nap....

I have noticed that when the reports omits names the victims or the criminals are not from this country. I wonder why?

Best story I've read today! Too bad the same thing didn't happen to the teens that beat up the elderly lady. No sympathy for either of them!
