Creedmoor, N.C. — Troopers charged Leonard Douglas Kauffman, 43, with DWI after three people were injured Monday evening in a wreck on N.C. Highway 50 in Wake County at the Granville County line.
The state Highway Patrol said two SUVs collided around 8:40 p.m. near Creedmoor. Kauffman, of Oxford, was driving left of center, authorities said.
Paramedics transported three people to a hospital. Their names and conditions were not released. Highway 50 was blocked for almost two hours while the wreckage was cleared.
