Aberdeen, N.C. — Moore County authorities on Thursday charged a second woman with stealing from an 89-year-old Aberdeen man.
Vanessa Cummings Mather, 43, of 141 Edwards Road, was charged with first-degree burglary, attempted common law robbery and assault on the handicapped. She was being held Thursday in the Moore County Jail under a $30,000 bond.
An Aberdeen woman told deputies last week that she saw two women inside her uncle's home and found them searching through his pockets when she entered.
Hannah Lee Howell, 41, was arrested Monday on the same charges.
