Apex man awakes to find van smashed into house

Apex, N.C. — An Apex homeowner said he awoke to find his van smashed into his house around 3:30 a.m. Thursday.

Investigators say the man heard a loud noise and saw someone running from the house at 4316 Kildaire Farm Road.

The homeowner told troopers that his van had been parked outside the garage. However, someone drove it into the house.

Authorities did not release any other information.
