Chapel Hill police investigate student's knife claim

e-mail print friendly

Chapel Hill police are investigating an attempt by a Grey Culbreth Middle School student to take a weapon to school.

Police spokesman Lt. Kevin Gunter said Wednesday that the student told officials he took a knife to a school bus stop in Carrboro on Tuesday and left it hidden under some straw.

Carrboro police officers found the knife in the location the student described, Gunter said.

The student's name and age were not released, and Gunter said the investigation is ongoing.

"There are some strange ordinances over there."

Name some.

and since when do the CH police investigate things that happen in Carrboro....?

I am by no means advocating weapons at school, but I'm having trouble following the point of this article. The Chapel Hill police are investigating a knife hidden in the straw in Carrboro? Huh? What "intent" is inferred by this?

"This is big Ange"!!!!!
