Durham, N.C. — A Durham man was shot in a drive-by shooting Tuesday afternoon, Durham police spokeswoman Kammie Michael said.
Alexander Fisher, 19, was taken to Duke with a gunshot wound to the lower back. He underwent surgery Tuesday afternoon.
Michael said the shooting happened near the intersection of Cook Road and Tripoli Drive just before 3 p.m. She said a small, silver four-door car, believed to have been carrying the shooter, fled the scene.
