Site SearchKnightdale, N.C. — Authorities were investigating after a body was found Sunday near the Country Hearth Inn, 700 Money Court, in Knightdale.
A clerk at the inn told WRAL News that a man came running inside just before 9 p.m. and said he had found a man's body on the side of Massey Farm Road, off First Avenue.
The man said it appeared the unidentified victim had been shot.
The Wake County Sheriff's Office withheld information about the body Sunday evening.
