Fayetteville, N.C. — A Parkton man has been charged with hitting his ex-girlfriend in the head with a full can of soda, authorities said Wednesday.
Jackie Junior McNair, 34, of 57 Buckhorn Road, was charged with first-degree burglary, assault with a deadly weapon and felony conspiracy. He was being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $52,000 bond.
Investigators said McNair damaged two vehicles belonging to a former girlfriend, forced his way into her home in the Topeka Heights subdivision and hit her in the head with a full soda can. The woman suffered head injuries and told detectives she feared for her life.
