Jackie McNair, soda can attack on ex-girlfriend

A Parkton man has been charged with hitting his ex-girlfriend in the head with a full can of soda, authorities said Wednesday.

Jackie Junior McNair, 34, of 57 Buckhorn Road, was charged with first-degree burglary, assault with a deadly weapon and felony conspiracy. He was being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $52,000 bond.

Investigators said McNair damaged two vehicles belonging to a former girlfriend, forced his way into her home in the Topeka Heights subdivision and hit her in the head with a full soda can. The woman suffered head injuries and told detectives she feared for her life.

You know the funny thing is I know this guy and used to date him several years ago (maybe 13 or 14 yrs. ago) but he was never violent. I guess the saying is true you never really truly know someone. I hope the young lady is okay and that Mr. McNair gets his life together.

This is a serious offense. This man is dangerous. Luckily he was not determined to use more physical violence. If he wrecks her cars and assaults this woman, this shows he is capable of much more. The use of the can shows he is willing to use anything to hurt this woman. He is a desperate and dangerous.

i've seen a car windshield shatter with a full can of beer..

If she had been armed with the great equalizer when he forced his way into her home, she wouldn't have to worry about him any more.

Another byproduct of the Probation system in NC.
