Police: Teen jogger stabbed in Wake Forest

Wake Forest police said that a man stabbed a 15-year-old boy out jogging during an apparent robbery attempt Monday afternoon.

Officers said a man approached the teen while he was running along a wooded trail near the Heritage Wake Forest neighborhood. The man demanded the money and then stabbed the teen, investigators said.

The teen was taken to a local hospital and was recovering Friday.

His attacker wore dirty blue jeans and a navy blue hoodie sweatshirt, police said.

Anyone who could help identify the attacker or with other information about the incident was asked to call police.
