Fayetteville, N.C. — Police on Friday charged a driver in a fatal wreck a week ago.
Dianna Murphy, 57, of Heartwood Drive in Raeford, was charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle, driving while license revoked and running a red light.
Robert Young, 85, of Cumberland Road in Fayetteville, was killed on Jan. 23 in a three-vehicle wreck at the intersection of Legion Road and Owen Drive.
Police said Murphy ran a red light on Owen Drive and slammed into the car in which Young was riding. Murphy's vehicle then hit another vehicle on Southern Avenue, police said.
