Shots fired outside Clayton High

Clayton, N.C. — Someone fired two shots in a parking lot at Clayton High School Tuesday night while a basketball game was being played in the school gymnasium, police said Wednesday.

The incident occurred in the parking lot on the west side of the gymnasium at about 8:20 p.m., police said. No injuries or damage were reported.

Police said they had no description of the shooter, aside from being told about a black car leaving the scene after the shots were fired.

Garner was playing Clayton in the game inside.
