Someone fired two shots in a parking lot at Clayton High School Tuesday night while a basketball game was being played in the school gymnasium, police said Wednesday.

The incident occurred in the parking lot on the west side of the gymnasium at about 8:20 p.m., police said. No injuries or damage were reported.

Police said they had no description of the shooter, aside from being told about a black car leaving the scene after the shots were fired.

Garner was playing Clayton in the game inside.

There seems to be nothing here to notify the parents about. Someone reported that some unknown person may have fired a gun from some unknown car....OR it backfired. No injuries, no damages.

I don't think it happened last night it happened in the afternoon, this was posted yesterday

How do they know for sure that shots were fired? It could have been a car backfiring...

maybe the police should ask us to do their job and help out on this one. word up!

You are so right. As a parent, I think we should have been notified by the phone notification system that the school system uses for other 'important' school information. Instead, we get it by rumor/word of mouth. I, my husband and both kids were there last night and never heard anything about it.
