PSNC Seeks Rate Increase

Raleigh, N.C. — The state Utilities Commission on Monday approved a request by PSNC to lower gas rates by 10 percent.

The company estimates that the reduction will save the average household about $12 per month during the winter/heating season. 

The change went into effect Sunday.

PSNC lowered its rates by 14 percent in early January.

agreed mccondor. They raise rates when oil is really high, but they have immediately reduced rates twice now in the last couple months when prices went back down. I give them a lot of credit...perhaps an honest company out there? Wow...what a concept.

PSNC (now SCANA) has been very good at keeping rates in line with actual costs for the last couple years I have been paying attention.
