Raleigh, N.C. — A 16-year-old boy was injured in a two-vehicle wreck on Tryon Road near Withers Road on Thursday evening, police said.
The wreck occurred when the teen lost control of a Honda and hit a delivery truck head-on. The teen, whose name was not released, was taken to WakeMed and was listed in critical condition.
The driver of the delivery truck was also taken to WakeMed with non-life-threatening injuries.
Part of Tryon Road was closed due to the wreck.

My 16 year old drives because he's old enough it allows him a level of independence that he'll eventually have anyway. BTW, he doesn't smoke, drink or do drugs.

The bridge on Tryon (near 401) is a death trap, too. Easy to cut your tire down on the sharp concrete curb (no shoulder).
