Knightdale, N.C. — A Knightdale woman was injured after the vehicle she was driving was hit by a train Friday afternoon.
Nathalie Frazier, 42, turned onto Fayetteville Road and stopped on the railroad tracks. She told police her music was turned up and she did not see a train coming or hear its whistles, Knightdale police said.
A freight train, traveling west toward Raleigh, hit dragged Frazier’s SUV for about 500 feet.
Frazier was taken to WakeMed with non life-threatening injuries.
No charges will be filed.
