Fayetteville, N.C. — A malfunction in the heating system has forced Cumberland County library officials to close the Spring Lake branch.
The library closed at noon Friday. Officials estimate it will remain closed through Jan. 31.
People who need to return books to the branch can do so by placing books in the outside drop box.
This is the second location of the Cumberland County library to close in recent months.
The headquarters branch in downtown Fayetteville has been closed since Oct. 25 after an electrical fire damaged the basement and first floor. Library officials said Friday that branch will remain closed through January while repairs are made.
