A Fayetteville man was arrested over the weekend for stabbing his ex-girlfriend in the head, police

Timothy David Rickman, 29, of the 5700 block of Winding Creed Drive, was charged Sunday with breaking and entering, second-degree kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, assault by strangulation and assault inflicting serious injury.

Investigators said Rickman kicked open the door to the apartment of his ex-girlfriend, Michelle Deak. He hit her in the face, kicked her and also tried to strangle her, they said. Rickman also burned Deak on her arm with a lighter, authorities said.

Deak's medical condition was not immediately clear.

Rickman was in the Cumberland County jail Monday under $50,000 bond.

It was only a flesh wound get over it!!!! Usually_right

yea, and it takes a real man to inflict it to a defensless woman, doesn't it?

It was only a flesh wound get over it!!!!

It makes me upset that people that "attempted" murder get bail??? This does NOT make sense. What makes one think they won't try it again. Bail should only be set for nonviolent cases. I'm just disgusted.

Assault with deadly weapon with intent to kill. Hmmm......what about just attempted murder? Wouldnt that withhold at higher bail?

Would the bail be higher if he had actually killed the woman? I mean $50,000 is way too low for such a violent assault.
