Oxford, N.C. — All lanes of Interstate 85 in Granville County has been reopened after a tractor-trailer overturned Monday morning.
State troopers said the truck driver fell asleep at the wheel around 7:50 a.m. at mile marker 199. He woke up, hit the rumble strips on the right side of the northbound lane, overcorrected and flipped his rig.
The driver, whose name was not immediately available, was not injured. No one else was involved in the wreck.
His cargo, a load of noodles, spilled onto the roadway. The interstate was shutdown for several hours while the mess was cleaned up.
