You leave two or three car lengths between you and the car in front someone always forces their way in front of you. It is hard to be a safe driver, you cannot leave yourself an out, drivers have no respect for others, the least they could do is use the turn signals and give you a little warning they are going to cut you off

I have to agree on the female tailgating. If anyone ever tailgates me it is always always always a female and almost always a minivan. I am female and I too drive a minivan but I always try to be 2 or 3 car lengths away from the car ahead of me. Who needs the extra stress of tailgating.

I live in Cary, and I agree that it's dangerous. I've been hit three times since I moved here, and each time it was by a Cary resident. And, everyone who hit me was from up North. People here drive too fast and recklessly -- especially the Yankees, and NO ONE slows down for pedestrians crossing the street. Yesterday while I was in the carpool line, I saw someone nearly hit a man crossing the street with his child. It was like the driver was trying to keep the guy from walking in front of him and slowing him down. We were in stop-and-go traffic, and the idiot driver was worried about losing a few seconds.

WRAL had to get Cary in the news.

Yeah, definitely not newsworthy. Its nothing more than a soccer mom not paying attention and rear-ending another vehicle. Happens many times a day in the Triangle. And I definitely don't want to see a news story about each and every one of them. Definitely a slow news day.
