Benson, N.C. — A judge set bond at $400,000 for Tony Edward Bynum Wednesday. Bynum is charged with first-degree murder in the death of his mother, Annie.
He had been held without bond in the Johnston County Jail since his arrest.
Investigators found Annie Bynum dead inside her home on Oct. 8.
Tony Bynum, 42, told deputies he was out all night and was not at the house, family members said. Relatives said he had problems with alcohol and drugs.
