Wake Forest, N.C. — Crews extinguished a fire Wednesday morning inside Canyon Stone Manufacturing, 1423 Wait Ave.
A firefighter was taken to a hospital with a cut on his hand, according to authorities.
The fire started inside the building when some sheets of artificial stone started burning, firefighters said. Authorities said they weren't sure what caused it.
No other details were available.
Canyon Stone, which has a second plant in Olathe, Kan., makes stone veneer for use in construction.
