Durham, N.C. — A 30-year-old man stabbed another man in the stomach during a fight in a parking lot in southern Durham late Friday, police said.
Phillip Leon Parker used a knife to stab Ahmad Habid Vinney, 30, in a parking lot near 1117 Hearthside Street around 10:45 p.m., investigators said.
Vinney was transported to Duke University Hospital, where he underwent surgery. He was listed in serious condition early Saturday.
Police said they continued to investigate the incident.
