Raleigh, N.C. — The N.C. Center for Missing Persons canceled a Silver Alert for Gerald Michael Sano Tuesday.
"Sano has been sighted in the community going about his business, a Wake Med spokeswoman said.
Sano, 68, was a patient at Wake Med, 3200 New Bern Ave. in Raleigh. The hospital requested the Silver Alert Friday after he left his room there.
After reports that he was seen at a downtown bank emerged, hospital staff asked that the alert be lifted.
