Fuquay-Varina, N.C. — Authorities accused a Fuquay-Varina woman of allowing an alleged child molester to live in her home.
Cassandra Fessler, 39, faces two charges of child abuse and one charge of assault on an officer.
Investigators believe that Fessler allowed the the man to stay in her house against orders from Child Protective Services, according to her arrest warrant.
The warrant says that Fessler punched a detective and kicked him in the groin when he tried to take her into custody.
She was being held in the Wake County Jail late Tuesday.
